Introduction

water treatment for the industy

Water plays an essential role in industrial processes. Its quality largely determines the reliability, efficiency and continuity of your operations. By treating water effectively, you create stable process conditions and maintain control over performance and costs. Remon Water Treatment supports industrial companies with solutions tailored to real-world operational needs.

“Industrial water treatment ensures stable and reliable processes, protects equipment and contributes to an efficient and manageable production process.”

Why is water treatment important in

Industry?

Each application within an industrial process places specific demands on water quality. In practice, the available water does not always meet these requirements. Variations in composition, such as limescale, salts, metals and microbiological contaminants, can accumulate in equipment and systems.

This directly affects the performance of your process. Deposits and corrosion may develop, reducing equipment efficiency and increasing the strain on components. In practice, this results in higher energy consumption, increased maintenance and a less predictable production process.

By applying the right water treatment, you can prevent these effects and ensure a stable, controlled process.

The role of water in your

Production process

Water serves various functions in industrial environments, depending on the type of process and the sector in which you operate. It may be an integral part of the production process, used for temperature control or play a role in equipment and systems.

Each application has different water quality requirements. The required composition depends on factors such as the type of equipment, operating conditions and the function of the water within the process.

That is why every situation requires a targeted approach. Depending on your application, specific solutions may be needed for process water, cooling water, demineralised water, ultrapure water or boiler feedwater. By tailoring the water treatment accordingly, the water quality can be optimally aligned with your process.

What are the benefits of the right
water treatment?

Good water quality directly contributes to the performance of your equipment and processes. By implementing water treatment, you can achieve benefits including:

A stable and predictable production process

Improved equipment efficiency

Reduced maintenance and lower operating costs

Longer equipment service life

Greater control over your operations

Efficiency and sustainability

Remon’s approach

Consistent water quality contributes to efficient and reliable industrial processes. By treating water effectively, you reduce the strain on equipment as well as energy consumption and maintenance requirements. This results in a more sustainable and manageable process.

Achieving this requires a solution tailored to your specific situation. Remon has extensive experience in industrial environments and understands the requirements for process reliability and continuity. By combining this practical experience with technical expertise, we deliver solutions that are not only technically sound but also perform reliably in day-to-day operations. From analysis and advice to implementation and maintenance, we take care of the entire process from start to finish.

This ensures you have a water treatment solution that contributes to an efficient and reliable process.

The right product for all your water treatment needs

Your own water supply

If you consume more than 1,000 m³ of water per year, you can achieve significant cost savings by opting for your own water supply. Remon has been a certified drilling company since 1979 and operates in accordance with the BRL SIKB 2100 guideline for mechanical drilling. Thanks to the extensive expertise of our drilling specialists and our many successfully completed drilling projects, we can access water-bearing layers at various depths to meet your water requirements.

Our range of treatment systems then provides effective and energy-efficient treatment of the source water, delivering consistent water quality, a short payback period and low total costs.

High water demand? No problem. Our flow systems can be expanded to capacities of up to 100 m³/h.

Frequently asked questions about industrial water treatment

What problems can untreated water cause?

Untreated water can lead to limescale deposits, corrosion and microbiological contamination. This can result in reduced efficiency, higher energy consumption and additional maintenance. In some cases, it may also lead to downtime or quality issues within the production process.

Which water treatment technology do I need for my application?
The right technology depends on the water quality and how the water is used within your process. Common solutions include filtration, water softening, reverse osmosis and disinfection. In practice, a combination of technologies is often used to achieve the required water quality.
What tangible benefits can water treatment offer my business?

Water treatment ensures a more stable process, lower maintenance costs and a longer service life for your equipment. It also contributes to more efficient energy use and greater control over your operations.

How does water quality affect the service life of equipment?

Variations in water quality place additional strain on equipment, for example through deposits or corrosion. As a result, components wear out more quickly and the risk of breakdowns increases. Consistent water quality helps equipment operate reliably for longer.

Is water treatment also important for regulatory compliance?

Yes, industrial companies must comply with requirements relating to water use and discharge. Water treatment helps ensure compliance with environmental standards and quality guidelines, reducing the risk of non-compliance or fines.

Is treating your own water more cost-effective than using mains water?

In many cases, treating your own water can be more cost-effective, depending on your specific situation and water consumption. By treating water on site, you gain greater control over its quality and availability while reducing your dependence on external suppliers and fluctuating rates. It can also contribute to lower operating costs and a more efficient process. An analysis of your water use and application will reveal which solution is the most cost-effective for your specific situation.

''With the help of Remon we are investing in an even greener future''
“FullTank produces the purest AdBlue® using Remon's treatment plant. AdBlue® is a liquid consisting of demineralized water and urea used in diesel vehicles to reduce NOx emissions and thus comply with the strict emission standards. With the installation of Remon, we are able to produce 11,000 litres of ultrapure water per hour. This is even cleaner than demineralized water, enabling us to produce AdBlue® that is many times cleaner than the standard. Another advantage is that we waste much less water. The purification plant installed by Remon is really groundbreaking. Like this, we contribute to create a greener future and we actively develop sustainable solutions."
