Why is water treatment important

For your Car wash?

Water treatment ensures that the water is suitable for use in the washing process. It prevents deposits, protects equipment and delivers consistent washing results.

Without the right treatment, water can cause contamination and wear, leading to malfunctions and higher maintenance costs.

“The quality of the water largely determines the washing results and the reliability of your equipment.”

Consistent water quality for optimal

washing results

Water is used extensively in a car wash. If the water quality is inconsistent, this can result in streaks on vehicles, fouling of equipment and additional maintenance. Remon ensures that the water used in your car wash is free from iron, limescale and other minerals. This high-quality water delivers spotless, gleaming vehicles. More than one hundred large car washes across the Netherlands use a Remon water treatment system with complete satisfaction.

For your carwash it's

A crystal clear investment

Remon ensures that the water you use in your car wash is free of iron, lime and other minerals. The high quality water ensures spotless and shiny vehicles. More than a hundred large carwashes throughout the Netherlands use a Remon water installation with complete satisfaction.

It is important to look critically at your water supplier and water treatment, with a view to costs. Water from your own source is considerably cheaper than drinking water, with the right treatment techniques Remon can produce first-class washing water. This water is much more suitable for your car wash than drinking water from a supplier. Save up to 90% on your precious tap water by using your own water source. Deep water sources are modern and efficient sources of sufficient water supply, especially for large consumers. Even in areas in the Netherlands where the source water is broken or salty, Remon’s purification systems can easily desalinate the water, so that it can be used stainless.

With the right water treatment, you benefit from:

Save 70% to 90% in costs

Extended lifespan of the carwash

no clogging of piping systems

Lime-free water

Nu rust is created

Stainless and shiny result

Limescale is prevented

Completely

Stain-free and no salt costs

For optimal washing results, the water must be free from limescale, iron and other contaminants. Remon offers iron removal systems and ion exchangers with an excellent return on investment (ROI). For the very best results, however, Remon can install a TITAN® reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment system at your premises.

Unlike water softeners based on ion exchange, this system requires no salt or other chemicals to soften and purify your water. TITAN® membrane filtration is Remon’s latest development in reverse osmosis technology. It produces highly purified water by removing all iron, manganese, limescale and potentially harmful gases. The resulting water is so pure that it dries completely spot-free.

Frequently asked questions about water treatment in the truck and car wash sector

Why is water quality important in a car wash?

Water quality directly affects washing results and equipment performance. Contaminated or hard water can cause streaks on vehicles, fouling in pipework and reduced system performance.

What happens when a car wash has poor water quality?
Poor water quality can cause limescale deposits, blockages and wear in equipment. This can lead to malfunctions, additional maintenance and less consistent washing results.
How does water quality affect washing results?

If the water is not sufficiently purified, spots or streaks may remain on vehicles. Properly treated water provides an even, glossy finish without leaving any residue.

What are the benefits of water treatment for my car wash?

Water treatment delivers more consistent washing results, fewer malfunctions and a longer service life for your equipment. It also helps reduce maintenance costs and improves the efficiency of your water treatment system.

Is water from a private well more cost-effective than mains water for a car wash?

In many situations, water from a private well combined with water treatment is more cost-effective than mains water, particularly when consumption is high. It reduces costs and your dependence on external suppliers, while ensuring that the water quality is tailored to your washing process.

How does water treatment affect washing results?

Water treatment removes substances such as limescale, iron and salts. As a result, the water dries without leaving spots, keeping vehicle surfaces clean and glossy. This produces a visibly better end result and has a fundamental impact on performance.

Which water treatment technology is best suited to a car wash?

The right water treatment technology depends on your water source, equipment and required water quality. In practice, technologies such as iron removal, water softening and reverse osmosis are commonly used. These remove substances such as limescale, iron and salts from the water. By applying the right combination of technologies, the water can be optimally tailored to the washing process and the desired end result.

''Remon continuously thinks along''
"On an average day we use about 20,000 litres of water to wash cars. I don't want to depend on a water company for that. That's why I knocked on Remon’s door at the construction of our brand-new carwash. From the type of installation and the size of the storage tank to the piping route, they have thought about everything. The result is that I have more than enough, lime-free water from my own source. I regularly receive compliments from customers on the quality of our carwash. I am convinced that the investment in an own water system pays itself back twice in happy customers."
