Schotman Hatchery once again chooses water treatment installations from Remon.
Remon is increasingly installing systems across borders. This time, our installation technicians travelled to Denmark to install two water treatment systems for Schotman Hatchery.
Schotman Hatchery is a family-owned agricultural business active in the poultry sector since 1950. With hatcheries in the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark, and customers across much of Europe, Schotman is a well-known name in the agricultural world. The company places great importance on hygiene and animal welfare. For this reason, they have been a customer of Remon Water Treatment since 2007.
When Schotman needed an expansion of the water treatment installation for their hatchery in Haderslev, Denmark, they once again relied on Remon’s expertise. Several clean water tanks (RWT) from Remon were already in place, but tap water was still used for cooling and cleaning. As tap water is also a significant expense in Denmark, switching to spring water was an easy decision.

Schotman had already drilled two wells for spring water supply. Remon equipped these with two well booster pumps to extract the water. Each well and booster pump was connected to a parallel REM3000 deferrization to aerate and remove iron from the water. The treated water is stored in the existing RWT and used for cooling the egg incubation machine. The return water is stored in the second RWT for cleaning purposes. To ensure smooth operation, the systems are equipped with Remon’s PLC control and NT network technology.
Recently, our technicians completed the installation, ensuring that Schotman can also rely on a sufficient supply of high-quality groundwater in Denmark.
