Reverse osmosis

For decades, Remon has been the specialist in the field of water sources, sewage sources, deferrization and membrane filtration. Despite the fact that the Netherlands is a country with a lot of water, sufficient fresh water is not abundantly available. In addition, high quality requirements are also imposed on irrigation water. Therefore, a source is indispensable for horticulture companies. Remon supplies (irrigation) sources with capacities of up to 120 m3/h. That ensures that you always have sufficient irrigation water. For your greenhouse, Remon has also treatments for source water available; for example, we supply Reverse Osmosis systems with capacities up to 30 m3/h, with self-cleaning strip towers and also deferrization plants for up to more than 100 m3/h.

Purification requirement

Companies in the greenhouse sector have been subject to waste water treatment requirements since 2018. This must be done by a water treatment plant that is approved by the BZG (assessment committee on water treatment techniques greenhouse industry). Remon’s Oxidizer is a water treatment plant approved since 2017, with a treatment efficiency of, on average, 99.7%, and is one of the most economical drain water treatment techniques in the Netherlands.

"We have our own water factory"

"For years, we have had a groundwater well that we use to pump up pouring water for our strawberries. Situated on the Peelrand fault, we are dealing with unstable water quality here. Since we want to irrigate our strawberries with clean water, we opt for a reverse osmosis plant and a self-cleaning stripping tower from Remon. In this way, we have our own water plant with pure water. We then add the necessary nutrients for the plants as we wish. The advantage is that we can recycle the water much better. In addition, during the sprinkling of the roof of the greenhouses in the summer season, no residual layer remains on the glass anymore. That saves a lot of cleaning work!"
