What is
Processing water
Process water is used in industrial operations such as cooling, rinsing, or mixing. It is tailored to specific requirements and often purified to ensure consistency and safety.
Suitable water applicable for every
Industrial proces
Process water is a collective term for various types of water used in industrial and technical processes. It is not meant for drinking but supports cooling, rinsing, heating, cleaning, and steaming. It is also used for mixing products or ensuring machines operate efficiently.
Each process requires different water quality. For example, in manufacturing, process water rinses parts or cools machines. In the food industry, the water must be very clean and reliable to prevent production contamination. Sometimes simple filtered water suffices; other times, osmosis or demineralized water is needed, removing nearly all salts and substances. This prevents damage to equipment and ensures smooth operations.
Remon can produce the process water you need from any water source—such as tap water, groundwater, or surface water—using techniques like iron removal, softening, disinfection, membrane filtration, ultrafiltration, and electrodeionization. The result is water perfectly suited to your process, keeping your installations reliable, safe, and efficient.
Frequently requested types of water

Processing water from
Groundwater, surface water, or tap water
Groundwater is often the most suitable choice for producing process water. It is locally available, usually abundant, and can be effectively treated with the right water treatment. The quality of the groundwater determines the necessary treatment to achieve the desired process water. Groundwater quality varies significantly by location and may contain excessive iron, manganese, or other substances. Therefore, purification is needed to make it suitable for your production processes.
When groundwater is unavailable, surface water is a good alternative. In many cases, surface water must be purified using an ultrafiltration system before it can be efficiently used as process water.
Although tap water can also serve as a good basis for process water, its cost per cubic meter is often much higher than groundwater or surface water. Additionally, as tap water becomes scarcer, it is simply wasteful to use it for process water when other options are available.
