Remon replaces outdated purification system at Noordhuys
Noordhuys is an innovative company with multiple locations in the Netherlands. The company produces tasty tomatoes year-round in a sustainable way.
At Noordhuys, purified groundwater is used for irrigating the tomato crops. At one of the cultivation sites, the existing purification system had become outdated and needed replacement.
Remon replaced this system with a reliable Rem4000 flow system. This setup consists of four Rem4000 iron removal units installed in a parallel flow arrangement. As a result, the capacity is four times greater than that of a single iron removal unit, while maintaining a consistent water flow at all times. In a parallel setup, the central source pump supplies each unit individually, allowing large volumes of water to be purified without compromising water quality. Thanks to the applied flow technology with a central booster pump set, energy consumption is also kept to a minimum.
The installation has now been successfully commissioned and provides Noordhuys with more than enough purified groundwater for the cultivation of their tomatoes.
