Triplex Highflow ion exchanger softens tap water for Oriental Beef in Oss
In Oss, long known for its meat industry, Oriental Beef—part of Lodewijks Quality Meat—supplies high-quality meat internationally to horeca, wholesalers, supermarkets, and the meat processing sector.
Processing meat requires significant amounts of water. For its new facility in Oss, Oriental Beef uses tap water from Brabant Water, which proved too hard to meet the company’s quality standards. They therefore contacted Remon Waterbehandeling for a tailored solution.
Remon recommended monitoring the tap water stored in a large tank using the RWT control system (Clearwatertank), allowing the water level to be managed remotely. Water is pumped from the tank via an industrial booster set designed by Remon and directed through a Triplex Highflow ion exchanger (3 x 170 L, dry salt bed technology). This system softens the water using a special resin. Equipped with Remon’s NT smart control system, the user can monitor, operate, and read data from the installation both locally and remotely.
The installation is now fully operational and provides Oriental Beef with more than enough softened tap water for their meat processing needs.
