What a stunning environment and what an exciting project!
Remon Water Treatment recently had the opportunity to install a completely new purification system on the Marker Wadden. Natuurmonumenten, the owner of the Marker Wadden, contacted Remon Water Treatment because the existing water purification system couldn’t meet the requirements for the quality of drinking water.
Remon Water Treatment replaced the existing installation with a Titan membrane filtration system with an open aerator. Subsequently, the water is sterilized from the underground water buffer using a Drinking Water-certified UV set from BestUV. This way, Remon ensures beautifully clean drinking water, right in the middle of the Markermeer!
The Marker Wadden are the newest Wadden Islands in the Netherlands and have been accessible since 2021; it is a unique project contributing to nature restoration in the Markermeer. Visitors can not only stay overnight but also enjoy nature and spot a variety of birds.
