Fruitbedrijf Heijnen removes iron from irrigation water with REM4000 flow system from Remon Water Treatment.
In the picturesque village of Roggel, in the municipality of Leudal (Limburg), the Heijnen family has been running their fruit farm since 1959, growing a wide variety of fruit trees sold partly through their own fruit shop.
The farm uses irrigation water from its own well, which—like many wells in the Netherlands—contains high levels of iron. To prevent clogging of the drip lines and remove the iron, Fruitbedrijf Heijnen turned to Remon Water Treatment.
In response, Remon installed a REM4000 flow system, capable of removing iron and manganese from up to 20 m³ of water per hour.
The new installation has recently been commissioned and is operating to the family’s full satisfaction.
