Vandaglas commissions ultra-pure water treatment line.
Vandaglas, a leading producer of high-quality multifunctional insulating glass with locations across Europe, approached Remon Water Treatment to design a system capable of producing ultra-pure water.
In manufacturing double and triple glazing, Vandaglas must rinse the panes with the highest quality water before bonding them. Any streaks or spots are completely unacceptable to ensure a flawless end product.
To achieve this, Remon Water Treatment installed an ultra-pure treatment line. This system combines several purification stages, each handling part of the process. First, mains water passes through a duplex ion exchanger to reduce hardness. The softened water then enters a Titan Compact membrane filtration system, which lowers conductivity and provides further pre-filtration, preparing it for optimal performance of the Electronic De-Ionisation (EDI) unit. The EDI stage transforms the water into the cleanest possible process water—known as ultra-pure water.
Vandaglas has now been running the installation for several months with complete satisfaction.
