Municipality of Westerwolde commissions Remon Water Treatment to drill 11 fire water reservoirs.<\/p>\n

In September 2023, the municipality of Westerwolde, located in the forested east of Groningen, approached Remon to drill a total of eleven fire water reservoirs in Bellingwolde, Blijham, Wedde, and Sellingen. A report from the safety region had identified so-called \u201cwhite spots\u201d in these areas\u2014locations such as homes or barns where the fire brigade could not access sufficient water quickly enough to fight fires.<\/p>\n

Remon took on the extensive project, and work began in May of this year. All 11 reservoirs have now been drilled, and the final above-ground finishes are being completed. With these installations, Westerwolde <\/a>now has sufficient firefighting water, fully compliant with regulations, making the eastern part of Groningen a safer place.<\/p>\n
